It is perceived by the customers as the status symbol, a must have fashion accessory and to have an iPod has become a matter of prestige. Customers buying the product bought it not only for its core benefits, but as brand loyalty towards Apple. Change your daily routine and find happiness
Change your daily routine and find happiness Itââ¬â¢s a new year, and like most of us youââ¬â¢re probably eager to get it started off on the right foot- which might include figuring out how to increase your daily happiness. After all, life is short and no one wants to spend their days needlessly unhappy, especially when you can make a few easy life adjustments to get you smiling again. Even making some small tweaks to your daily routine can make a world of difference. Is your usual routine relaxed and well organized, setting you up for a positive and productive day? Or is it more chaotic and anxious, setting you up for uncertainty and a greater likelihood that things will go wrong? Setting your day off on the wrong foot- and keeping it there with the wrong daily routine- is a clear recipe for unhappiness.Inc. recently published an articleà that highlighted 7 easy-to-implement changes that you can make to your daily routine that can improve your overall mood, productivity, and health- key components of lasting and sustai ned happiness. Use the strategies presented here to make positive changes to your daily routine and increase your level of happiness.Write down your thoughts and feelings.Keeping a small notebook or journal to jot down your daily thoughts and feelings can make a world of difference. Not only is it an excellent way to calmly work through the tangle of ideas that continually fight for primacy in our crowded brains, itââ¬â¢s a good way to slow life down for a bit, relax, and allow some quiet time for thoughtful reflection. Beyond this, itââ¬â¢s also a good way to ensure that you donââ¬â¢t forget things, which can really ruin your day.Chat with a fellow commuter. Many of us go through significant portions of our day feeling isolated and disconnected from the world around us, which can be a real recipe for routine unhappiness. Forging a new, meaningful connection with someone you encounter each day- like a fellow commuter- can help reconnect you to the world at large, and with an y luck youââ¬â¢ll make a meaningful and lasting friendship. Who wouldnââ¬â¢t be happy about that?Take a beautiful photo on your way to work. When we get stuck in a rut, we become desensitized to things around us as we mechanically go through the motions of our daily routine. When we can no longer recognize the beauty in the world, it becomes increasingly difficult to stay happy. Do yourself a favor- take a moment to stop and find something beautiful around you each day and take a photo, which will serve as a lasting reminder that life is filled with wonderful moments. Chances are, those photos will make you smile whenever you look at them.Plan something joyful for tomorrow. In many ways, humans are predictable creatures- we feel happy when we have something to look forward to. Take advantage of this quirk of human nature by taking time each day to plan something joyful for tomorrow. It doesnââ¬â¢t have to be something big; even a small bit of future happiness can bring a smil e to our faces. Give it a try.Set one goal for the day.People also feel good when they achieve goals they set for themselves. Each day, set one achievable goal for yourself- and make sure you give an honest effort towards achieving it. Once again, the size of the goal isnââ¬â¢t the main thing here; even achieving a modest goal that you set for yourself can bring you a measure of happiness, not to mention help make your day productive.Consider outsourcing a chore.Life is full of responsibilities that we as adults must devote our time and energy to each day- whether we want to do them or not. That said, there are some chores in our lives that we donââ¬â¢t necessarily have to do ourselves. Try letting yourself off the hook for a chore you can just as easily pass along to someone else. Chances are, youââ¬â¢ll breathe a small sigh of relief and have a little extra time for something that makes you happy.List something you appreciate.Although itââ¬â¢s easy to take the good thi ngs in our lives for granted at times, it gets much harder to do so when we write them down. Try thinking of something youââ¬â¢re grateful for each day and write it down. The act of doing so can really solidify its importance and can serve as a powerful, tangible reminder that there are things in life worth being happy about. There you have it- ideas you can incorporate into your daily routine to make your life a little brighter. It may take a little effort, but isnââ¬â¢t your happiness worth it?

The Ethernet Technology Report Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
The Ethernet Technology Report - Essay Example For transporting digital bits of data through the carrier waves, Ethernet has some encoding techniques. These encoding techniques aid in synchronizing the data sending and data receiving stations and providing a signal with strength sufficient enough to deliver a required amount of data rate. So, the difference in encoding techniques relate to the difference in the data transfer speed provided by the Ethernet cable. For instance, the three encoding techniques Manchester, 4B/5B and 8B/10B are used for the providing Ethernet LAN of speeds 10Mbps, 100 Mbps and 1Gbps respectively (TechFest.com, 1999). Manchester encoding delivers a signal of frequency 10MHz which is sufficient to provide a data rate of 10Mbps for the 10Base5 and 10Base2 coaxial cables. The installation is easy and new systems can be added easily. However, owing to the bus topology (in 10Base5) and the fact that the cabling is half duplex (i.e. same cable used for sending and receiving), chances of collisions would be mor e and the throughput of the system would be less. In case of daisy chains (10Base2), routing difficulties would be present. Secondly, the higher data rates cannot be achieved due to coaxial cables. In case of using 10BaseT twisted pair cables, 20Mbps can be achieved owing to full duplex mode. New hosts can be added easily in the supported star topology network. However, repeaters are required after every 100m unlike 10Base5 and 10Base2. When using 10BaseFL, repeaters are not needed till 1000m. The 4B/5B encoding delivers a 62.5MHz frequency signal on the 100Base-Tx Cat 5 twisted pair cabling. A signal of maximally 100MHz is enough to be transmitted over a medium of 100Mbps. In full duplex mode, any new host can be added without affecting the collision rates. 4B/5B encoding is also used in 100Base-Fx cables.

Short reaction on Casablanca 1942 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
Short reaction on Casablanca 1942 - Essay Example me even more popular over the years, lies in the fact that since 1957 many cinemas began to show the movie during summer exams, first in Harvard, and then and in other universities. Twenty years later it was revealed that Casablanca is shown on TV in the USA more often than any other movie in order to attract the new audience (Ebert, 1996). The movie is sensitive, kind, magically romantic and very fascinating, though it is neither thriller, nor the detective story. It is a real American movie, which is loved by all Americans and very informative for foreigners, because it shows the life and history of real Americans. The movie Casablanca will not touch your heart as military drama, but, as the romantic melodrama performed in curious style and played by magnificent actors of the era, it represents a perfect creation. A little outdated, but the one, which did not loose its appeal through

Slumdog Millionaire Essay Example for Free
Slumdog Millionaire Essay The issue we have decided to discuss is centred around the two children Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail who star in a leading role in the film Slumdog Millionaire. The film grossed $141,000,000 in the US alone and had a budget of $15 million but the two children only received à £500 ($700 American Dollars) and à £1,700 ($2408.50 American Dollars). Despite the claims of director Danny Boyle, that the film has ââ¬Å"completely changed their impoverished livesâ⬠(Tyler, 2009) the children continue to live in the slums in India from where they were originally found. The childrenââ¬â¢s parents were very disappointed given the films worldwide success and had hoped that this film and their childrenââ¬â¢s leading roles would have given them opportunity of a better life outside the slums. Having found themselves leading the same lives as before Slumdog Millionaire, they realised just how under-paid their children were actually paid. Ismail predicament is considerably worse off as his illegal home was recently demolished by local authorities. It is even more difficult for the children to return to the slums given the lifestyle and the luxuries they received during the filming, promotion and subsequent award ceremonies. However both film makers and film distributors have disputed the familiesââ¬â¢ claims and have highlighted that the wages paid to both the children were three times the average local annual adult salary. Furthermore provisions have been made for the childrenââ¬â¢s education and once completed a trust fund will be paid to the then 18 year olds, Ali and Ismail. Ethical issues surrounding the topic * Underpaying the child actors in the Slumdog Millionaire movie * Allowing the children to return to the slums * Returning the children to their poverty stricken roots having experiences the lifestyle of a movie star * Not providing the children with a place to live after their home had been destroyed * Is the trust fund achievable given the childrenââ¬â¢s circumstances and harsh living conditions?
